Here are some interesting sites outside the Kids.us domain:

• The White House has a special web site for kids, at whitehousekids.gov.*
• Other government web sites for kids include America's Story (americaslibrary.gov*), offered by the Library of Congress; Kids in the House (clerkkids.house.gov*), from the Clerk of the House of Representatives; and Ben's Guide to Government for Kids (bensguide.gpo.gov*), from the Superintendent of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office.
• There are many other government web sites just for kids, and the government even operates an interagency kid's portal site at kids.gov.*
• Other good web sites for kids include PBSKids.org, National Geographic Kids,* Scholastic Kids,* and Yahooligans! Web Guide for Kids.* The American Library Association* has a web page that links to many more Great Web Sites for Kids.
