The President heads the Executive Branch of the federal government, which is responsible for enforcing laws.

The president is elected by the Electoral College, whose members are elected by citizens in a popular vote held once every four years.

The House of Representatives can
impeach a president who commits
serious misconduct.  The Senate
then decides whether the president
should be removed from office.

in 1999.

Firearms and Explosives is a
law enforcement agency within
the Department of Justice.
